In July, we collectively read 79 books! That makes our total for 2011 so far, 572 books!
There is still time to join the challenge, go to Historical Fiction Reading Challenge to sign up and then come back to leave your links each month. There is a new post for your links each month.
Please leave your links for your August reviews in Mr. Linky, below or, if you don't have a blog, in the comments below.
*Note: if you missed posting your links last month, please always post "late" links in the current month's Mr. Linky. For example, if you forgot to post a link in February, please post it on this Mr. Linky in this post.
I'm so behind...having a baby will do that I suppose. Can I change my level at this stage in the game? :)
ReplyDeleteSure Robinbird. The challenge is meant to be fun as well as challenging. And you have a very good excuse!
ReplyDeleteI had signed up for the 20 books level but I think I'll bump it down to the next level - 15 books I think?
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
I've got 5 reviews in 2 blog posts. I hope that's not cheating ;) As I say in one post I've been too sick to blog much, but I've had plenty of time to read!
ReplyDeleteThat's fine jtwebster! I really need to start doing combined reviews I think.
ReplyDeleteI also just finished Reign of Madness by Lynn Cullen. Not sure if I'm going to write an actual review of it yet, but I loved it and recommend it very highly.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a giveaway on my site for Becoming Marie Antoinette by Juliet Grey. For my review and a chance to win, leave a comment (and your email address) at:

I have been reading Historical Fiction all year for reviews and I have read 17 so far and totally forgot to come and enter on your site...so I caught up with the links for reviews for the year so far...sheesh...not sure how I forgot to do that...
ReplyDeleteI set my level low so I'd be sure to finish this challenge. One more to go. But I'm behind on all my others!
ReplyDeleteI just posted the link to my review of The God of the Hive by Laurie King. This is the latest in her Mary Russell series and my 13th read in the challenge. 4 months and 7 books to go....I think I can do it!
ReplyDeleteI've gotten SO behind in posting my links. Blarg. I'm now trying to count up my books from the last several months, and posting them one at a time. Blarg again.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the extra link! The second link leads to my first review for the Historical Fiction challenge 'Castle Dor'. I hope to get to the second fast! I'm way behind :)
ReplyDeleteAs usual I posted my link too quickly and forgot to change the title of the book I reviewed. This time, for my 14th book I read, The Luxe by Anna Godberson.
ReplyDeleteReached my halfway mark in August! :) 10 down, 10 to go!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to post my link last month though I met the highest goal long ago.
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed Julie Orringer's The Invisible Bridge, her debut novel set in 1930s-40s Europe. Definitely an author to keep an eye out for. She is currently conducting research for a novel about Varian Fry, who helped thousands escape the Holocaust.
