HT News - UK Covers

The UK cover for Michelle Moran's next book, Cleopatra's Daughter, has been revealed on Amazon UK! It will be interesting to see how different the US cover is when that comes out.

Another UK cover, this time for the September 2009 release by Philippa Gregory, The White Queen

Thanks to Tanzanite for mentioning these covers over at HistoricalFictionOnline.com.

  1. beautiful covers, I really enjoy reading Philippa Gregory.
I'll be grabbing a copy of her new one when it comes out.

  2. I hate to say it, but I don't like either of them. I LOVE the look of Nefertiti & The Heretic Queen and this isn't nearly as nice and the chick in The White Queen bothers me...if she wasn't in it I'd probably like it. But let me say that it doesn't matter one bit to me what the cover of Moran's book is, I just want the story inside!

  3. I am a bit the same way Amy. I suspect the US cover for Michelle Moran will be very different - they certainly have been on her other books! I also will be reading it regardless of what the cover is.

I am not 100 percent sure that I can say that same thing for the PG after being burned a bit by The Other Queen.

  4. Now I understand why so much historical fiction has headless-woman syndrome, because I really dislike both of those covers although, as others said, I'll read Michelle's book no matter what. It will be interesting to see whether I've learned my lesson and moved past Philippa after disliking her recent stuff so much. I at least hope not to buy it in hardback again, definitely need to use the library for that one.
