Cover Story: People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks

I am currently reading People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks. Having really enjoyed both Year of Wonders and March in my pre-blogging days, I have been very much looking forward to this one. And so far it isn't a disappointment.

Because I am also discussing this book with an online discussion group, I was looking today at the various covers around the place and was quite interested to see how different they all are.

Whilst I guess in some ways this book isn't true historical fiction, there are definitely parts of the story which are, so I will end up posting my review over here when I finished it, so I thought I would also posts the covers over here:

Australian Cover:

UK Cover:

US Cover:

To be honest I am not all that enamoured by any of them, but the UK cover is probably the 'prettiest' of them all.

What do you think?

  1. I have only ever seen the US cover, on the one I read so I have to say that one. I look at it and remember what a good experience it was reading it. I do like the UK one very much though.
