I am currently reading People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks. Having really enjoyed both Year of Wonders and March in my pre-blogging days, I have been very much looking forward to this one. And so far it isn't a disappointment.
Because I am also discussing this book with an online discussion group, I was looking today at the various covers around the place and was quite interested to see how different they all are.
Whilst I guess in some ways this book isn't true historical fiction, there are definitely parts of the story which are, so I will end up posting my review over here when I finished it, so I thought I would also posts the covers over here:
Australian Cover:
UK Cover:
US Cover:
To be honest I am not all that enamoured by any of them, but the UK cover is probably the 'prettiest' of them all.
What do you think?
Definitely the UK cover.
ReplyDeleteI have only ever seen the US cover, on the one I read so I have to say that one. I look at it and remember what a good experience it was reading it. I do like the UK one very much though.
