I'm going with The King's General, although Mary Anne is a close second. I've been saving Rebecca for a rainy day, although I think I read it years ago.
Rebecca is one of my favorite du Maurier novels, but I do have a special fondness for The House on the Strand....it was the first time-slip novel I remember reading that began my interest in dual-time novels.
Difficult decision as I love so many of them, but I think I will have to go with Rebecca as the first one I ever read and all time favourite!! :) x
Rebecca is my favourite du Maurier novel and also one of my all time favourite books by any author! I also loved both The House on the Strand and The Scapegoat.
As much as I love Rebecca, my favourite is actually My Cousin Rachel. It makes for absolutely fascinating discussion.
I was afraid that Rebecca would be the only one mentioned and I'm glad that it isn't so...
My Cousin Rachel is a fascinating book as well and should be on the list. It is a close second to Rebecca for me.
My favorite is Cousin Rachel. Very good person narrative. It has also made a TV series of the book with Geraldine Chaplin plays the lead role. It is well made and very good. I wish you a nice Sunday! Zinnia
