  1. I couldn't resist sharing my favourite Austen sequel, Old Friends and New Fancies, so I just left the link above. I love it that we revisit characters of several novels in one book and that it was written in Jane Austen's style...

  2. I haven't read an actual Jane Austen book yet. I have read a contemporary book - Mr. Darcy Ruined My Life which I enjoyed and I know enough about Pride and Prejudice without having read it to be able to piece the story together.

  3. Delighted to take part in Jane Austen Week here at Historical Tapestry. I recently read and reviewed Jane Austen Made Me Do It (editor, Laurel Ann Nattress) which is a fun collection of short stories for Janeites.

  4. Thanks so much for hosting this Jane Austen week! I love Jane and never miss a chance to watch the new movie adaptations of her books. I posted a link to a review I did of Peter Leithart's biography of her that came out last year...it was a little on the scholarly side, but very helpful for getting the real picture of who Jane Austen was.

  5. I was introduced to Jane Austen when my mother gave me all six complete novels in paperback for my birthday and as a family we read Pride and Prejudice for our 'bedtime' read together.

  6. It was through the 1995 P&P miniseries that made me fall in love with Austen, though I was introduced to her world while reading Lit as an undergrad.
