In February, we collectively read 64 books! That makes our total for 2011 so far, 148 book!
There is still time to join the challenge, go to Historical Fiction Reading Challenge to sign up and then come back to leave your links each month. There is a new post for your links each month.
Please leave your links for your March reviews in Mr. Linky, below or, if you don't have a blog, in the comments below.
*Note: if you missed posting your links last month, please always post "late" links in the current month's Mr. Linky. For example, if you forgot to post a link in February, please post it on this Mr. Linky in this post.
I read a book at the end of February but forgot to post it!

YAY! That is awesome! I should have some good ones for March! :)
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I missed the February posting. Have some catching up to do.
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up on my reviews today :)
ReplyDeleteA Year In Books,
ReplyDeletePlease add it to the Mr. Linky in this post for March. Thanks.
aLmYbNeNr, great! I'm reading an excellent one right now too.
Misfit and Valerie, I always seem to fall behind myself.
I'll be skipping two months out of the year, since I signed up for ten reviews. March is my first skip. I've been so immersed in historical research I didn't finish another historical novel since Feb! My loss, but sometimes work intrudes.
ReplyDeletePosted up my first review for March - The Red Queen by Philippa Gregory

Thoroughly enjoyed this excellent portrayal of Katherine Sedley (mistress to King James II) in The Countess and the King by Susan Holloway Scott. :)
ReplyDeleteJust posted my 2nd review for the year - Time and Chance by Sharon Penman. A thoroughly absorbing read!
ReplyDeleteAn oldie, but a goodie - added my review of Sense and Sensibility.
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying checking out the reviews!
ReplyDeleteJust posted my review for A Red Herring without Mustard by Alan Bradley. It is a historical fiction mystery (quite possibly my "favoritest" genre). Reading The Vespertine by Saundra Mitchell now.
ReplyDeleteI'm on a roll, 3 historical fiction novels in March and reviews posted ... all 4.5 and 5 stars YaY!
ReplyDeleteI loved The Vespertine by Saundra Mitchell. This is my fourth book for the challenge and I am trying for 20.
ReplyDeleteFinally got going on this. Scarlet, the first book on this challenge (though the second in a series).
ReplyDeleteI just posted a link to my review of Where Shadows Dance by C.S. Harris. I am also giving away a copy on the blog. Please feel free to enter the contest.

Read and reviewed Italo Calvino's 'Invisible Cities'!

Just wrote about Mary Hooper's Fallen Grace, which was enjjoyable, but nothing super-exciting.
ReplyDeleteI have reviewed The Running Vixen and Men of Iron this month. I have a couple that I forgot to post last month, but oh well. Here is my post that I update with new titles: http://liedermadchen.blogspot.com/2011/02/historical-fiction-reading-challenge.html
ReplyDeleteThis is a great challenge!
Reviewed Maid to Match by Deeanne Gist. Highly enjoyable read, especially if you're interested in reading about the servant class during the American Guilded Age.
ReplyDeleteHistorical books read since the challenge began:
ReplyDelete1/ The Blackstone Key by Rose. A. Melikan
2/ The Rest Falls Away by Colleen Gleason
3/ The Bleeding Dusk by Colleen Gleason
4/ Sinful in Satin by Madeline Hunter
Now, I need to catch up on posting the reviews!
Charlotte Collins by Jennifer Becton.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding read. Hope there is a follow up.

Just posted reviews for Sophia's Secret by Susanna Kearsley and Past Caring by Robert Goddard - both excellent and highly recommended.
ReplyDeleteApparently I linked to a book twice above, so my number stays the same. Now at three so far, having read and reviewed 'The Pindar Diamond'!

Elizabeth Chadwick is one of my favorite historical fiction authors. To Defy a King is another wonderful Chadwick novel!

Just catching up on some March reviews :)
ReplyDeleteI read 9 books which brings me to a grand total of 23: just past severe bookaholism!
ReplyDeleteI am up to my fifth book, which was Jane and the Madness of Lord Byron by Stephanie Barron about which I have just posted.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for the April review link-up and not finding it...
ReplyDeleteRead two more in March but didn't get them posted until today. I didn't see the April link-up so I just put them here.
ReplyDeleteLoved your Laurel Corona guest post. That's the book I reviewed, and she'll be guest blogging at Reading World too.
ReplyDeleteSorry everyone, I forgot to post the April review link up. Thanks so much for the reminder! It is up now.
ReplyDeleteThe April link still isn't showing up (at least for me). I have a couple of reviews for books I read in April I'd like to link to.
ReplyDeleteI still am not able to click the link for April's reviews. :(
ReplyDeleteMe either.
ReplyDeleteCould not find the April link, so I posted my review of Ken Follett's Fall of Giants above. I enjoyed the book much more than his medieval novels.
ReplyDeleteI posted a link to my review of Twixt Two Equal Armies, by Gail McEwen & Tina Moncton. A Pride and Prejudice 'what if" the story is set in Scotland and Hertfordshire. Great historical read.
