The main character is an English archer who joins Henry V in his quest to claim the French crown. It all comes down at the Battle of Agincourt. Lots of blood and guts, but also trademark Cornwell attention to historical details and atmosphere.McBooks Press, Inc.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07442594323765276911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5944570901299649958.post-43555468082728989382009-10-12T15:05:06.965+01:002009-10-12T15:05:06.965+01:00Thank you everyone for your suggestions. There is another I read (besides Bloody Field) about Henry IV and V but I can't think of what they were...maybe the Plaidy ones: Passage to Pontefract and Star of Lancaster.

As for Henry VI, Plaidy has one called The Red Rose of Anjou which is about his wife. He of course comes up in books about Edward IV (Penman's Sunne in Splendour along with Plaidy's of the same name.).Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13900579391813915664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5944570901299649958.post-22772700504197751352009-10-12T01:18:24.929+01:002009-10-12T01:18:24.929+01:00Wow, thanks.
