I am going to add it to my list based on your suggestions. It's about how she became somewhat obsessed with a homeless woman in NYC and tries to help her. Really good story, but not something I could emulate! For me it's books that deal with abuse of children and books that deal with drug abuse (especially heroin or other hard drugs) when written well, will make me sick to my stomach. They are hard for me to get through and emotionally draining. But I don't shy away from them.

Holly @ Words Fueled by LoveHollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10205610087769540666noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5944570901299649958.post-54622482463256102812014-05-29T14:33:26.520+01:002014-05-29T14:33:26.520+01:00You touch on such a great point with "One of ...You touch on such a great point with "One of the aspects of historical fiction that can be so hard for modern readers is the differences in what is acceptable social behavior." So true! I try to be objective enough not to let stuff like this bother me, but sometimes I have to remind myself. That said, I looooove historical fiction. :) Andihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05220718933942181809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5944570901299649958.post-24530142358893782032014-05-29T12:26:51.097+01:002014-05-29T12:26:51.097+01:00Oh that sounds good! Started as an emotional break up of a marriage, went into time travel in the nicest possible way with naturally a big change of both era and scene and then came back to Scotland!Mysticahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10941269615559681014noreply@blogger.com
